On the display side, I worked on stereoscopic graphics and video for telerobotic control (the ARGOS project) [1] , [2] , [3] , [4] . With Bill Buxton and Paul Milgram, I developed a technique, the "Silk Cursor" [5] that utilizes semi-transparent surfaces for interaction in 3D. I have also studied the anisotropic performance in 3D display [6].

I was invloved in studies on task network modelling of human performance [12] , analysis of vehicle navigation aids [13], Palm-top VR [14] , and icons in interface design [15].
